Trisuli
Duration: 1 or 2 days
Departs: Kathmandu or Pokhara
Put-In: Malinga or Baireni (3 ½ hours from Pokhara / 3 hours from Kathmandu)
Take-Out: Fishling or Kuringhat (4 hours back to Pokhara or Kathmandu & 1–1 ½ hours to Chitwan)
Class: III/IV (a pool drop river with some great rapids and several long flat sections in between)
Season: All year long! Main season Sep – Jun / Monsoon season July & Aug turning into extreme!)
Seti River
Duration: 2 days
Departs: Pokhara
Put-In: Damauli (1 ½ - 2 hours drive from Pokhara)
Take-Out: Gai Ghat (3 ½ hours back to Pokhara / 4 ½ hours to Kathmandu / 40 minutes to Chitwan)
Class: II/III (a fairly gentle river perfect for families, first timers or learning kayaking)
Season: All year long! Main season Sep – Jun / Monsoon season Jul – Aug
Bhote Koshi
Duration: 2 days
Put in: Khandi Chaur (96km far from Kathmandu)
Take-out: Sukute Beach
Class: III/IV (a pool drop river with some great rapids and several long flat sections in between)
Season: All year long! Main season Sep – Jun / Monsoon season July & Aug turning into extreme!)
Kaligandaki River
Duration: 3 days
Departs: Pokhara
Put-In: Maldunga (3 hours drive from Pokhara)
Take-Out: Mirmi (5 hours back to Pokhara)
Class: III+/IV+ (a fun and bouncy pool drop river with lots of wave trains)
Season: Sep - Dec / Mar - June
Marshyangdi River
Duration: 1 or 2 days
Departs: Pokhara
Put-In: Bhule Bhule (3 ½ hours from Pokhara)
Take-Out: Turture (2 ½ hours back to Pokhara / 40 minutes to Bandipur / 2 hours to Chitwan)
Class: IV/-V (a thrilling, challenging & technical non-stop river adventure)
Season: Oct – May
Sun Koshi River
Duration: 8 days
Departs: Kathmandu
Put-In: Dolaghat (3 hours drive from Kathmandu)
Take-Out: Chatra (15 hours drive back to Kathmandu – option to fly from Birathnagar
Class: III+/V (a beautiful river expedition with variety of white water & scenery)
Season: Sep – Nov / May – Jun
Karnali River
Duration: 9 days
Departs: Pokhara or Kathmandu
Put-In: Dungeswar (17 hours drive from Pokhara or Kathmandu – option to fly to Kathmandu) Take-Out: Chisapani (13 hours drive back to Pokhara or Kathmandu – option to fly to Kathmandu)
Class: IV/V (an intense thrill a minute roller coaster ride rewarded by remote pristine wilderness)
Season: Oct – Dec / Mar – May
Tamur River
Duration: 12 days
Departs: Kathmandu
Put-In: Basantapur (17 hours drive from Kathmandu)
Take-Out: Chatra (15 hours drive back to Kathmandu – option to fly Birathnagar to Kathmandu at
an extra cost)
Class: IV/V (a beautiful river expedition with variety of white water & scenery)
